The trees in your garden require regular maintenance to keep them healthy and safe. At Marshall’s, we believe that prevention is better than cure, and our tree surgeons offer a range of services including pruning, felling and removal to make sure that they don’t block out light or pose a risk. Dead wooding
Dead wooding is an essential part of a trees life, overtime trees will have branches die to make room for new growth, this can be potentially extremely dangerous to the public or damage property, it is best to have your trees dead-wooded to stop dead wood from falling on foot traffic or damaging property below.
Crown thinning/pruning
Widely seen as giving a tree an aesthetic makeover, whilst it is good practise to keep the trees natural shape, thinning and pruning also lets in light to the centre of the tree and allows wind to flow through the tree, improving the trees overall health in terms of growth and strengthening branches. This in turn allows more light into the surrounding area enabling ground flora to grow.
Tree felling and removal
Our arborists will always try to save trees, however sometimes it’s simply not safe to leave them standing. We offer full felling and removal for diseased or storm damaged trees, including stump grinding and removal. The trees we remove will be recycled and used for woodchips, biofuel or logs, so you don’t need to worry that it’s going to waste.
